Terms of Sale & Warranty

These terms apply to the purchase and use of digiGate hardware, software, services and associated platform features.

By purchasing or using digiGate products or services, you agree to the terms outlined on this page.

Subscriptions & Service Licences

Certain digiGate features require active subscriptions or service licences.

These may include platform plans, communication services and optional functionality such as remote access features or automated access control integrations.

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and may be required to enable or maintain specific system capabilities.

Subscription pricing may be reviewed periodically and may increase where required. Any pricing adjustments will apply to future billing periods.

Platform subscriptions must remain active and in good standing in order to access the features associated with the selected platform tier.

If a subscription payment becomes overdue and remains unpaid for 14 days or more, the associated system may automatically revert to a lower platform tier with reduced functionality.

Any features, limits or capabilities associated with the higher tier may be disabled until the outstanding subscription balance has been settled and the subscription is restored.

Digitech Automation Ltd reserves the right to apply service limitations or downgrade platform access where subscription payments remain unpaid beyond the stated period.

Platform Features & Service Changes

The digiGate platform is continuously developed and improved.

We reserve the right to modify, update, add or remove platform features, services or functionality at any time where required for technical, operational or commercial reasons.

Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided for significant changes that affect system functionality.

Hardware Warranty

All digiGate hardware is supplied with a standard 12 month warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers hardware malfunction caused by manufacturing defects when the equipment is installed and used correctly in accordance with the installation instructions.

The warranty applies only to faults occurring under normal and intended usage conditions.

Any modification or misuse of digiGate hardware may result in a warranty becoming void.

Enterprise Platform Warranty

Systems operating with an active Enterprise platform licence benefit from extended warranty coverage for supported hardware while the Enterprise licence remains active.

This extended warranty applies only while the Enterprise subscription remains active and in good standing.

If the Enterprise licence is cancelled or expires, the system reverts to the standard hardware warranty terms.

Valid warranty claims with an active enterprise license requires license to be active minimum 3 months before a claim can be made.

Warranty Limitations

The warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from:

• Incorrect installation or wiring
• Incorrect power supply or electrical damage
• Physical damage to hardware
• Environmental exposure or moisture ingress
• Modification or tampering with hardware
• Use outside the intended operating conditions
• Damage caused by third party equipment

Products showing signs of misuse, incorrect installation or external damage may not be eligible for repair or replacement under warranty.

Installation Responsibility

All digiGate components must be installed by a competent person.

Equipment must be installed in accordance with the official installation instructions and connected using suitable power supplies and wiring practices.

Incorrect installation may cause system malfunction and may void the product warranty.

Environmental Protection

digiGate components are not waterproof unless explicitly stated.

Devices must be installed within suitable protective enclosures where required to protect them from rain, moisture, condensation and environmental exposure.

Failure to adequately protect equipment from environmental conditions may void warranty coverage.

Radio Communication & Line of Sight

digiGate Pro wireless receivers communicate with the hub using long range radio communication.

For reliable operation, wireless devices should be installed with a clear signal path where possible.

Wireless communication performance may be affected by obstacles, structures, interference or environmental conditions.

The system should be installed so that hub and receiver devices operate within suitable communication range and line of sight conditions where possible.

Product modification to improve wireless communications without prior consent from a member of the digiGate team can lead to a warranty becoming void.

The above statements stand for digiGate V1 products also.

System Use & Responsibility

digiGate is designed as an access control convenience system for operating gates, barriers and other entry points.

It should not be relied upon as the sole method of security, safety control or site protection.

Users and installers are responsible for ensuring the system is configured appropriately for the intended application.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the manufacturer and suppliers of digiGate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the system.

This includes but is not limited to loss of access, site disruption, loss of business or property damage.

Third Party Services

Some digiGate features rely on third party communication services and infrastructure.

These may include telecommunications networks, messaging services or external integrations.

Availability and performance of these services are sometimes outside our direct control and may occasionally be interrupted or unavailable.

We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation of features that depend on third party services including API integrations and digiGate relay servers.

Automated Equipment & Safety

digiGate is designed to control and automate the operation of gates, barriers, bollards and other access equipment.

The safe operation of any automated gate or access device depends on the correct installation, maintenance and safety configuration of the gate or barrier system itself.

Installers and system operators are responsible for ensuring that all controlled equipment complies with relevant safety standards and includes appropriate safety devices such as safety edges, photocells, vehicle detection loops or other protection systems where required.

digiGate is an access control interface only and does not replace or override the safety systems of the gate, barrier or equipment being controlled.

The manufacturer shall not be responsible for any injury, damage or loss resulting from the unsafe installation, configuration or operation of any gate, barrier or equipment connected to the system.
