System Operation & Line of Sight

digiGate Pro uses long range wireless communication between the hub and receiver devices.

For reliable operation, devices should be installed in locations where a clear signal path is available where possible.

Wireless communication performance may be affected by buildings, structures, environmental conditions or other radio interference.

Installers should ensure devices are positioned appropriately to maintain reliable communication and system performance.

System Security

digiGate Pro has been designed with multiple layers of security to help protect system access and user data.

Security measures include:

• Modern encryption methods for system communication
• Secure authentication using token based methods such as JWT
• Secure storage of system data both locally on the device and within the platform infrastructure
• Encrypted backups of system data stored on our servers

While strong security practices are implemented, users and system administrators remain responsible for protecting their accounts and access credentials.

Data Backups

System data is stored locally on the digiGate Pro hub and may also be backed up to secure remote infrastructure.

Users and system administrators are encouraged to maintain their own backups of important system data where appropriate.

Maintaining independent backups helps ensure system information can be restored in the event of hardware failure or unexpected issues.

System Availability

We aim to provide reliable platform services and infrastructure for the digiGate Pro system.

However, we cannot guarantee 100% system uptime.

Service availability may occasionally be affected by maintenance, updates, internet connectivity issues or factors outside of our control.

Mobile Applications

Mobile applications for digiGate Pro are continuously developed and improved.

While we aim to deliver stable and reliable applications, software may occasionally contain bugs or unexpected behaviour.

Users are encouraged to report any issues they encounter so they can be investigated and resolved.

Updates are released periodically which may include new features, improvements and bug fixes.

Device Security & User Responsibility

Users are responsible for securing the devices they use to access the digiGate Pro system.

This includes mobile phones, tablets and computers used to control gates or manage system settings.

Digitech Automation Ltd cannot be responsible for access granted through lost, stolen or compromised devices.

Users should ensure appropriate device security such as screen locks, passwords or biometric protection is enabled.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)

Automatic Number Plate Recognition functionality may be used to automate vehicle access.

ANPR performance can be affected by several factors including:

• Weather conditions
• Lighting conditions
• Vehicle speed or positioning
• License plate quality or visibility
• Network connectivity between the ANPR controller and camera

The system includes protections designed to reduce the risk of number plate spoofing.

However, ANPR recognition accuracy cannot be guaranteed in all situations and users should ensure appropriate access control measures are in place where required.

Safety Systems Responsibility

digiGate Pro is designed as an access control interface for operating gates, barriers, bollards and other automated entry equipment.

The system does not replace or override the safety systems of the equipment being controlled.

All automated gates, barriers and access equipment must be installed with appropriate safety devices in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards. These may include safety edges, photocells, vehicle detection loops, obstacle detection systems or other protection devices.

Installers and system operators are responsible for ensuring that the controlled equipment is installed, maintained and configured safely.

Digitech Automation Ltd shall not be responsible for any injury, damage or loss resulting from the unsafe installation, maintenance or operation of equipment connected to the digiGate Pro system.
