WhatsApp control is particularly useful for international visitors, holiday guests and overseas users who may prefer sending a familiar WhatsApp message rather than calling a local telephone number and worrying about incurring international calling charges. It works over Wi-Fi or mobile data, making it a convenient, cost-effective way to operate an entrance from your phone.
Yes! digiGate allows authorised users to operate an electric gate, barrier or other access point directly through WhatsApp. Simply send a message to your designated digiGate WhatsApp number and the system will verify your registered phone number and access permissions before operating the entrance. No separate gate control app is required.
Absolutely. Multiple users can be registered against a single entrance, with each person using their own WhatsApp account to operate it. Administrators can remotely add, remove or restrict individual users through the digiGate management console, without needing to physically visit the gate.
Yes. digiGate combines multiple access methods within one system, allowing you to choose how different users operate your entrances. WhatsApp can be used alongside Call to Control, mobile app control, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and virtual PIN codes, all managed through the same central management console.
No. Sending a WhatsApp message to operate your gate is free, just like sending any normal WhatsApp message. There are no premium-rate charges or additional fees for the user. All you need is an internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). Standard mobile data charges may apply depending on your network plan.
Yes. WhatsApp Control is an optional add-on to Call to Control. You'll first need to enable Call to Control to activate your dedicated telephone number, then simply enable WhatsApp Control for additional functionality. This allows authorised users to operate their gate by either directly calling or sending a WhatsApp message to the same number.
