SOUND FAMILIAR?

Shared gates should not create extra admin

EVERY REQUEST REACHES YOU

The estate manager manages all residents

A partner needs access, a resident changes phone or a household needs a contractor admitted. When every update goes through the managing agent or board, routine household changes become a continuing workload.

CREDENTIALS STAY IN CIRCULATION

Old remotes and shared codes are hard to take back

A resident moves out without returning every remote. A keypad code remains known to former visitors or contractors. Changing a shared code creates a new round of messages for everyone still living on the estate.

LIMITED ESTATE OVERSIGHT

It's hard to see who is accessing the site

Separate lists, shared credentials and changes passed through email make access reviews difficult. The estate needs privacy between homes and an authorised manager who can still check the wider access picture.

A SIMPLER WAY TO MANAGE ACCESS

How does digiGate help?

Let each home handle its own routine users with named permissions and full oversight for the authorised site manager.

1

Let each home manage its approved users

Create a private group for each home and appoint an authorised household administrator. They manage their own users within the approved user permissions limitations, while other homes’ accounts remain private.

Less routine work for the agent or board.

2

Replace shared credentials with individual access

Manage access from anywhere and revoke permissions immediately when residents leave, without relying on the collection of every remote or changing one estate-wide pin code.

3

Full accountability with a detailed audit trail

The authorised estate managers oversee household groups through the site management console. Review access logs, failed access attempts, dormant users and suspicious activity.

Housing estate gate access FAQs

Can every house manage its own users on a shared estate gate?

Yes, digiGate supports private groups and authorised household administrators. The estate sets the permitted scope, and each household manages users within it. Other households’ user accounts remain private. Explore user permissions.

Can the managing agent or HOA board still oversee the estate?

Authorised site managers can oversee the household groups and their accounts through the site management console.

What happens to gate access when a household moves out?

The authorised site managers can withdraw the household group’s access and prepare the next household’s approved setup remotely. You do not need to rely on collecting every physical remote to remove digiGate permissions.

Can carers, family members and contractors have suitable access?

Yes. Approved users can have permissions appropriate to the household and estate policy, including defined periods where needed where access expires automatically.
Explore user permissions.

Can residents use the estate gate without a smartphone?

Optional ANPR can suit approved vehicles. Call to Control uses a suitable voice capable phone where the caller has phone signal.

What happens if the internet connection goes down?

ANPR can continue working locally during an internet outage, provided the site still has power. For unmanned or rural sites with unreliable internet, we can help set up a mobile network fallback using 4G or 5G where available.

Will digiGate work with our existing gates or barriers?

Yes. We guarantee digiGate will work on any electric gate or barrier. See our compatibility list for the most popular brands we have worked on in the past.
